Badhaai Do

Two individuals, Shardul and Sumi, who are both gay and lesbian, face pressure from their families to get married and navigate challenges of blackmail and societal pressure while striving for personal happiness and acceptance in a conformist society. Badhaai Do is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Sheeba Chaddha, Chum Darang, Gulshan Devaiah, Hani Yadav and Shireesh Dobriyal. Junglee Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vineet Jain. Badhaai Do is written by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial and it is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and Amit Sharma. Zee Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Badhaai Do was released on 11th February 2022 and takes a screen time of 147 minutes. Badhaai Do was made on a budget of ₹29 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹18 crore. Cinematography was done by Swapnil S. Sonawane and editing by Kirti Nakhwa. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Amit Trivedi along with Tanishk Bagchi, Ankit Tiwari, Khamosh Shah and Hitesh Sonik.
