Kaleidoscope Entertainment in association with Channel4. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bobby Bedi. Bandit Queen is written by Ranjit Kapoor and Mala Sen and it is directed by Shekhar Kapur. Koch Vision acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Bandit Queen was released on 26th January 1994 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bandit Queen was made on a budget of ₹3 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹14 crore. Cinematography was done by Ashok Mehta and editing by Renu Saluja. The music was composed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. At the 1996 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Actress (Seema Biswas). At the 1996 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
