A girl named Belle gets imprisoned in a Beasts castle while her father is released and must help the Beast learn to love and be loved to break a curse before a magic rose loses all its petals. Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American English-language Animation Family movie starring Paige O hara, Robby Benson, Richard White, Jerry Orbach, David Ogden Stiers, Angela Lansbury and Pepper Sweeney. The movie is inspired from Beauty and the Beast by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. Fox Star Studios in association with Ad-Labs Films Limited. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Don Hahn. Beauty and the Beast is written by Linda Woolverton, Brenda Chapman, Chris Sanders, Burny Mattinson, Kevin Harkey, Brian Pimental, Bruce Woodside, Joe Ranft, Tom Ellery, Kelly Asbury, Robert Lence, Jeanne-marie Leprince De Beaumont and Gabrielle-suzanne Barbot De Villeneuve and it is directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Beauty and the Beast was released on 22nd November 1991 and takes a screen time of 84 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Beauty and the Beast was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $440 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Linda Woolverton.
