A former royal family in Varanasi believes their ancestral palace is haunted by the ghost of a classical dancer, leading to strange events and the revelation of a characters dissociative identity disorder. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Horror motion picture featuring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Hema Malini. The movie is inspired from Manichitrathazhu by Fazil. T-Series Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is written by Neeraj Vora, Manisha Korde, Madhu Muttam and Yashwant Mahilwar and it is directed by Priyadarshan Nair. Balaji Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was released on 14th December 2016 and takes a screen time of 154 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was made on a budget of ₹32 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹49 crore. Cinematography was done by Tirru and editing by N. Gopalakrishnan and Arun Kumar Aravind. The music was composed by Pritam Chakraborty along with Ranjit Barot.
