A young boy named Jin-seok moves to a new house with his family, but soon discovers that they have been pretending to be his real family and that he is actually in the year 2017, not 1997, and is suspected of a murder case from 20 years ago, leading to a sequence of events where he regains his lost memories and confronts the doctor responsible for hiring him, accidentally killing him, and ultimately waking up in a hospital where he is about to be poisoned until he reveals that he remembers everything, causing his captor to reveal his true identity and jump to his death, while the film ends with a scene from 1997 showing the doctors family happily walking away while Jin remains unaware. Forgotten is a 2017 Korean English-language Mystery Thriller film featuring Kang Ha-neul, Kim Mu-yeol, Moon Sung-keun, Na Young-hee, Syed Nooman Rizvi, Ha-neul Kang and Amir Hossein Ghezelbash. B.A. Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Park Joon-sik. The movie is written and directed by Jang Hang-jun. Kiwi Company acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Forgotten was released on 21st February 2018 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The movie made a box office gross of $0 million. Cinematography was done by Kim Il-yeon and editing by Heo Seon-mi. The music was composed by Kim Tae-hoon.
