Three parapsychology professors fired from Columbia University start a paranormal investigation and elimination service, known as the Ghostbusters, developing advanced equipment to capture and contain ghosts, and when hired by Dana Barrett, they uncover a plot to summon a destructive god, leading to a catastrophic explosion, possessed individuals, and ultimately the heroic defeat of the god. Ghostbusters is a 1984 American English-language Action Comedy motion picture featuring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts and Skeleton. Ghostbusters was Produced by Ivan Reitman. Ghostbusters is written by Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis and it is directed by Ivan Reitman. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Ghostbusters was released on 8th June 1984 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Ghostbusters was made on a budget of $144 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $229 million. Cinematography was done by L szl Kov cs and editing by David E. Blewitt and Sheldon Kahn. The music was composed by Elmer Bernstein.
