The movie tells the story of three friends who open a sports shop, train cricketers, face financial difficulties, navigate religious politics, experience a rift in their friendship, and ultimately reunite after various challenges, including a communal riot, with the film ending on a hopeful note of success and fulfillment. Kai Po Che! is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language Drama Sport film starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Rajkummar Rao, Amrita Puri, Asif Basra, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Deependra Singh. The movie is inspired from The 3 Mistakes of My Life by Chetan Bhagat. UTV Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kai Po Che! was released on 22nd February 2013 and takes a screen time of 126 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Kai Po Che! was made on a budget of ₹25 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹92 crore. Cinematography was done by Anay Goswamy and editing by Deepa Bhatia. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Amit Trivedi along with Hitesh Sonik. At the 2014 Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Screenplay and Best Background Score.
