A farmer and his family in 1980s Anantapur district face persecution from a landlord who wants their land, leading to a series of tragic events and acts of revenge, ultimately culminating in the farmer sacrificing himself for his sons education. Narappa is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language Action Drama movie starring Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam, Vasishta N. Simha, Venkatesh Daggubati, Rajsekhar Aningi, Karthik Ratnam and Shritej. The movie is inspired from Asuran by Vetrimaaran Vekkai by Poomani. Suresh Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Daggubati Suresh Babu, D. Suresh Babu and Kalaipuli S. Thanu. Narappa is written by Vetrimaaran and directed by Srikanth Addala. Amazon Prime Video acquired the distribution rights for the film. Narappa was released on 19th July 2021 and takes a screen time of 153 minutes. Cinematography was done by Shyam K. Naidu and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The music was composed by Mani Sharma.
