A group called The Resistance, backed by The New Republic, fights against The First Order to defeat them and find missing Luke Skywalker while encountering various characters along the way. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a 2015 American English-language Action Adventure movie starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Ruolan Zhang. The movie is based on Characters by George Lucas. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Pixar and Disney Television Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kathleen Kennedy, J. J. Abrams and Bryan Burk. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is written by Simon Kinberg, Lawrence Kasdan, J.j. Abrams, Michael Arndt, George Lucas and J. J. Abrams and it is directed by J.j. Abrams and J. J. Abrams. Walt Disney Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on 25th December 2015 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was made on a budget of $306 million and at the box office it grossed only $68 million. Cinematography was done by Dan Mindel and editing by Mary Jo Markey and Maryann Brandon. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner John Williams.
