Two people, living in different times, develop a connection through letters left in a lake house, but their plans to meet are thwarted by a tragic accident before they ultimately reunite. The Lake House is a 2006 American English-language Drama Fantasy movie featuring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Dylan Walsh, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Christopher Plummer, Ebon Moss-bachrach and Robert A. Young. The movie is inspired from Il Mare by Kim Eun-jeong Kim Mi-yeong. Village Roadshow Pictures in association with Vertigo Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Doug Davison and Roy Lee. The Lake House is written by David Auburn, Eun-jeong Kim and Ji-na Yeo and it is directed by Alejandro Agresti. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Lake House was released on 27th July 2006 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. The Lake House was made on a budget of $30 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Cinematography was done by Alar Kivilo and editing by Alejandro Brodersohn and Lynzee Klingman. The music was composed by Rachel Portman.
