A gorilla named Ivan befriends a dog and a caretakers daughter while living as a captive performer at a circus, but after the death of a wise elephant, he decides to free a new young elephant and eventually gets relocated to a gorilla habitat at Zoo Atlanta. The One and Only Ivan is a 2020 American English-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Sam Rockwell, Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, Ram N Rodr Guez, Brooklynn Prince, Ariana Greenblatt and Barry Wilson. The movie is based on The One and Only Ivan by K. A. Applegate. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Jolie Pas Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Angelina Jolie, Allison Shearmur and Brigham Taylor. The One and Only Ivan is written by Mike White and directed by Thea Sharrock. Disney+ acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The One and Only Ivan was released on 23rd February 2021. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mike White. Cinematography was done by Florian Ballhaus and editing by Barney Pilling. The music was composed by Craig Armstrong.
