The Umbrella Academy

In 1989, Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopts seven children who unexpectedly acquire superpowers, but as they grow up, they drift apart; after Hargreeves death, they reunite, uncover secrets, and face a global apocalypse, utilizing their unique abilities to save humanity and confront their past as they strive to solve the mystery and reconcile their differences. The Umbrella Academy is a 2019 American English-language Action Adventure show featuring Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Casta Eda, Emmy Raver-lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Peter Schoelier. The series is inspired from The Umbrella Academy by Gerard Way and Gabriel B. Borderline Entertainment in association with Dark Horse Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kevin Lafferty and Sneha Koorse. The series premiered on February 15, 2019 in English on Netflix. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the show. Creators of the series include Jeremy Slater and Steve Blackman. The Umbrella Academy has only one season and a cumulative total of 10 episodes which have a running time of 45-60 minutes each. Cinematography was done by Neville Kidd and Craig Wrobleski and editing by Jon Dudkowski, Timothy A. Good, Amy Duddleston, Wendy Tzeng, Todd Desrosiers, Brian Beal and Amanda Panella. The music was composed by Jeff Russo.
