Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Badlapur was released on 20th February 2015 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Badlapur was made on a budget of ₹29 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹49 crore. Cinematography was done by Anil Mehta and editing by Pooja Ladha Surti. The music was composed by Sachin Jigar.
