After being targeted by the European drug cartel, Don discovers a plot within his own associates, escapes imprisonment, uncovers corruption, executes a bank robbery, negotiates with the police, and ultimately becomes the kingpin of the European underworld. Don 2 is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor, Ally Khan, Nawab Shah and Dirk R. Heidinger. The movie is based on Characters by Salim Javed. Excel Entertainment in association with Red Chillies Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Farhan Akhtar, Shah Rukh Khan and Ritesh Sidhwani. Don 2 is written by Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, Salim Khan and Ameet Mehta and it is directed by Farhan Akhtar. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Don 2 was released on 23rd December 2011 and takes a screen time of 144 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Don 2 was made on a budget of ₹76 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹106 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Farhan Akhtar, Ameet Mehta and Amrish Shah. Cinematography was done by Jason West and editing by Anand Subaya. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Ehsaan Noorani along with Loy Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan and Shankar Ehsaan Loy.
