In 1758, the Maratha Empire led by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao achieves its height through victorious battles, but faces challenges and ultimately loses the final battle against an alliance led by Ahmad Shah Abdali, resulting in the death of Vishwas Rao and Sadashiv as the Marathas suffer losses. Panipat is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama movie starring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon, Abdul Quadir Amin, Ammar Taalwala, Mohnish Bahl and Sham Mhasalkar. Ashutosh Gowariker Productions in association with Vision World Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. Panipat is written by Ashutosh Gowariker, Ranjeet Bahadur, Ashok Chakradhar, Chandrashekhar Dhavalikar and Aditya Rawal and it is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Panipat was released on 5th December 2019 and takes a screen time of 162 minutes. Panipat was made on a budget of ₹92 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹34 crore. Cinematography was done by C. K. Muraleedharan and editing by Steven Bernard. The music was composed by Ajay Gogavale along with Atul Gogavale and Ajay-atul.
