The Lorax

A twelve-year-old boy in Thneedville named Ted embarks on a mission to find a real tree to impress a girl named Audrey, and with the help of the Once-ler, he learns about the destruction of trees for profit, stands up against a greedy mayor, and eventually succeeds in planting a Truffula seed to restore the environment. The Lorax is a 2012 American English-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Danny Devito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle, Jenny Slate and Rosemary Alexander. The movie is inspired from The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. Illumination Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Christopher Meledandri, Janet Healy and Chris Meledandri. The Lorax is written by Dr. Seuss, Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio and it is directed by Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Lorax was released on 18th May 2012 and takes a screen time of 86 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Lorax was made on a budget of $70 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $349 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Editing was done by Ken Schretzmann, Claire Dodgson and Steven Liu. The music was composed by John Powell.
