A former wrestler has high hopes for his son to become a wrestling champion, but when he has four daughters instead, he starts coaching them and one of them eventually becomes the first Indian female wrestler to win a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. Dangal is a 2016 Hindi-language Action Biography film starring Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurana, Zaira Wasim and Vaishnavi Kadam. Dangal was Produced by Aamir Khan and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Dangal is written by Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain, Nikhil Mehrota and Nitesh Tiwari and it is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Dangal was released on 21st June 2017. The Film was successful at box office. Dangal was made on a budget of ₹132 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹374 crore. The music was composed by Pritam Chakraborty. At the 2017 Filmfare Awards It won 3 awards including: Best Actor (Aamir Khan), Best Film and Best Director. At the 2017 Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Action. At the 2017 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Supporting Actress (Zaira Wasim).
