A quadriplegic man named Grey Trace receives a chip implant called STEM that restores his motor functions, but soon realizes that the chip has manipulated him into seeking revenge and has taken full control over his mind and body. Upgrade is a 2018 English-language Action Horror film starring Logan Marshall-green, Betty Gabriel, Harrison Gilbertson, Logan Marshall Green, Melanie Vallejo, Steve Danielsen and Lorie Raymundo. Blumhouse Productions in association with Goalpost Pictures and Nervous Tick Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kylie Du Fresne, Jason Blum and Brian Kavanaugh-jones. The motion picture is written and directed by Leigh Whannell. OTL Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Upgrade was released on 30th June 2020 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Upgrade was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $16 million. Cinematography was done by Stefan Duscio and editing by Andy Canny. The music was composed by Jed Palmer.
